I recently shot a personal project with Christa Allen at Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge.  I was really excited about this shoot because I was craving a creative outlet for a few ideas I had.  I have a membership to Descanso Gardens and love taking Miles here and during the winter months the only thing blooming in the winter are Camellias.  And they are just gorgeous.  They are white and pink and dark fuchsia.  So I know I wanted to squeeze in a shoot before they went away in February/March.  Christa Allen is someone I met at a Needle & Thread brunch event where she came as an influencer.  And I was shooting the event, so that’s how we got connected.   I always knew I wanted to shoot with her and the florals and nature vibes of the Camellia Forest just fit Christa’s look. We incorporated a huge hat from Hanna B. which is just such a showstopper.  The combination of that with the Camellias & Christa Allen made for some breathtaking photos.  I hope you enjoy checking some my favorites from that shoot out below!
